It started with an idea
Throughout my nearly two decades in trench safety, I found myself in a discussion with excavator operators on whether or not their trench was sloped properly. My operators wanted to do it right, but the trench slope angles I was discovering were often an operators best guess during the pace of the day.
I needed to provide a solution for them, a tool they could use for more consistent and compliant results, so I began looking for a something that would help our operators and supervisors quickly find their proper trench slope angles. I searched, but I couldn't find anything I could quickly deploy. I began experimenting with different ideas and that is where the concept of a field slope tool came to life.
This tool has proven to be a valuable solution in keeping our teams safe. I hope it has the same positive effect for yours as well.
